Police warning about scam calls

The Xenia Police Department wants to warns residents about a scam call going around.

Residents are receiving blocked calls from someone claiming to be collecting donations for the Xenia Police Division.

If you receive a call like this, don’t give them any money or personal information.

If you’ve already given money or personal information to this scammer, make a report with the department at 937-372-9901.

The Greene County FOP Lodge 37 does make calls asking for donations, but they shouldn’t identify themselves as representing the Xenia Police Division.
