Nestwatch Workshop

A Nestwatch Workshop will be offered at Brukner Nature Center on Feb. 24 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Project Nestwatch collects data from citizen scientists throughout the world who observe and keep track of nesting birds within their yards and communities.

Topics will include the process of checking nest boxes or other nesting sites, recording development of the young, submitting data online and maintenance of the box.

The workshop cost is $5 for nature center families and $10 for non-member families. Eastern screech owl nest boxes will be for sale for $40 to get data collection started.
