A Massachusetts woman admitted to driving 130 mph after being stopped by a deputy sheriff on southbound Interstate 77 around 9 a.m. Saturday.

Sgt. Bruce Lowery of the Tuscarawas County Sheriff ’s Office said her vehicle passed him at more than 100 mph.

“I pursued and upon activating my overhead lights, the vehicle abruptly locked up the brakes, skidding to a stop along the highway,” he wrote in a 911 call record. “The female driver immediately exited the vehicle and was immediately detained due to her erratic actions.”

He said she began screaming that she should be taken to a mental institution. After she calmed down, she was taken to the Sheriff ’s Office for further evaluation. Once at the Sheriff ’s Office, she became argumentative and was jailed.
