Car crashes increase during wintry mix

Crashes were being reported around the Dayton region Sunday afternoon as wet weather conditions made roads slippery throughout the region.

Some of the accidents included a van and a truck reported to strike a wall on U.S. 35 near Abbey Avenue, a hit and run on U.S. 35 westbound at the I-75 northbound on ramp; an accident on Ohio 4 at the I-75 southbound on ramp, a crash on Riverside Drive under I-75 and a car that reportedly struck a guard rail and blocked part of U.S. 35 near Gettysburg Avenue.
