Cycling registration
Registration is open for the 2019 Miami Valley Cycling Summit on Friday, May 10, in downtown Miamisburg. This regional event will be held between Miamisburg’s Board of Education - Memorial Auditorium and the new Dayton Metro Library in Miamisburg. The event welcomes elected officials, government staff, local leaders and cycling advocates. Registration is open at www. CyclingSummit.com.
The morning keynote will begin at 8:30 a.m. followed by breakout sessions, including a box lunch, ending at 4:30 p.m. The Keynote speaker Kalene Griffith, President of Visit Bentonville, will detail the story of building a cycling mecca in Northwest Arkansas. Other organizations that will have representatives at the event include Toole Design Group, Miami Valley Mountain Bike Association, Major Taylor Cycling Association, Ohio Department of Transportation, and Rails to Trails Conservancy. Local experts and cycling advocates will provide valuable updates about existing and planned cycling-related projects that enhance our communities and connect our economy to our paved trails — the Nation’s Largest Paved Trail Network.
This free event aims to use the power of cycling to drive economic development in communities, both large and small, throughout the Miami Valley region. This year’s theme is “Let’s Explore.” Content experts will detail how cycling can improve the transportation, health, and economic vitality of the Miami Valley.
The event will also feature more than 30 cycling-centric exhibitors for attendees to visit. Representatives from local clubs, trail associations, and area park districts will be present.
