Bar Granada to reopen this weekend
Bar Granada has set a reopening date and will have a few new twists when it re-introduces itself to downtown Dayton next weekend.
The bar at 5 W. Monument Ave. at North Main Street closed temporarily for renovations on April 20, about five months after it opened. It will reopen this Saturday, June 15, with a new craft-tequila selection, an expanded food menu and a new focus on events and entertainment, including live music, co-founder Paul Pelnar said.
A new stage is scheduled to be installed this week, and on the bar’s reopening night, it will host a live-music performance by the Dayton Salsa Project.
Each day, there will be a board listing craft tequilas available for tasting, Pelnar said. The bar also will increase its craft beer selection, and will have six beers on tap, while also retaining a variety of Spanish wines and Spanish beers.
The local food truck Latin Arepas will be preparing and serving the food, utilizing Bar Granada’s kitchen.
