Bar Granada reopens after renovations
Bar Granada has reopened and will have a few new twists when it re-introduces itself to downtown Dayton.
The bar at 5 W. Monument Ave. at North Main Street closed temporarily for renovations on April 20, about five months after it opened. It opened Saturday with a new craft-tequila selection, an expanded food menu and a new focus on events and entertainment, including live music, co-founder Paul Pelnar said.
A new stage will host a live-music performances.
Each day, there will be a board listing craft tequilas available for tasting, Pelnar said. The bar also will increase its craft beer selection, and will have six beers on tap, while also retaining a variety of Spanish wines and Spanish beers.
The local food truck Latin Arepas will be preparing and serving the food, utilizing Bar Granada’s kitchen.
Work will be performed in Cincinnati and is expected to be completed by August 2020. The work will be contracted out of the Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, D.C.
