Bike ride and walk

The City of Springboro’s Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee and Mr. Boro’s Tavern are collaborat­ing on a bike ride and walk at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, beginning and ending at the tavern, 495 N. Main St.

The ride takes place on local streets at a moderate pace with a lead and follow rider. Participan­ts must by 21 years of age. Each rider must have a helmet, front and rear bike lights and reflective clothing. A cycling orientatio­n will be provided before the ride.The four-mile walk takes place on the sidewalk, with a lead and follow walker, and includes hills and street crossings with moderate traffic.

Participan­ts in both events are responsibl­e for making their own evaluation of traffic, sidewalk and road safety and weather conditions.

Ride and walk maps are available at www.ci.springboro.oh.us. Additional walks and rides are planned through September.

Following the walk and ride, participan­ts will receive extended happy hour prices and entered into a drawing for Mr. Boro’s Tavern merchandis­e and gift card. For more informatio­n, call 937748-6183 or visit www.ci.springboro.oh.us.

The 2019 series will be held at North Park. Friday night concerts will feature tribute bands.

Beer sales and food trucks will be available. All concerts are free to attend.

Tuesday night concerts begin at 7 p.m., Friday night concerts at 7:30 p.m.
