- By Dona Niswonger Home Builders Association of Dayton

The Home Builders Association of Dayton’s 2019 Homearama Touring Edition presented by Vectren will kick off on July 26 and its builders cannot wait to open the doors for guests to visit their beautiful homes.

A tradition of the HBA and the Dayton region for more than 40 years, the 2019 Homearama event will showcase nine newly constructed homes located throughout the Miami Valley.

This year’s participating Homearama builders are Charles V. Simms Development Corp; Clearcreek Custom Builders; County Corp; Daniel DeVol Custom Builder Inc.; G.A. White Homes; HBS Development; Justin Doyle Homes; Oberer Homes; and Peebles Homes.

Each Homearama builder is incredibly talented and dedicated to constructing spectacular homes for his or her clients.

Primary sponsors include title sponsor, Vectren; premier media sponsor, Cox Media Group Ohio; mortgage lender partner, Union Savings Bank; gold sponsor, 84 Lumber; ticket partner, Kroger; media partners, Key Ads, Housetrends and Dayton Business Journal; radio partner, Alpha Media; copper sponsors, Dayton Area Board of Realtors, Fifth Third Bank and Great Clips; 2019 Homearama home photographer, Dayton Home Photo; and Homearama partners, Furrey Marketing, Minuteman Press of Centerville and So Easy Signs LLC.

As introduced in the 2015 Homearama Touring Edition presented by Vectren, the scattered-site tour will feature homes to suit any budget or lifestyle with houses ranging from a home at $150,000 in the historic Dayton neighborhood where the Wright brothers and Paul Lawrence Dunbar lived and worked, to a stunning luxury home valued at $965,000.

The best of urban, suburban and estate living will be displayed. Many of the homes have already been sold, making the 2019 Homearama Touring Edition presented by Vectren the first – and possibly only – opportunity for the public to view the houses.

As a bonus this year we have added additional inhome events for the public to enjoy.

The Humane Society of Dayton will have an adoption event on Aug. 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at home #7, the Stoneview Cottage by Daniel DeVol Custom Builder Inc. This is a great opportunity for the public to view this home that is already sold and support the Humane Society.

More information and details on additional events can be found on our Facebook page, HBA Dayton or on DaytonHomearama.com.

Complimentary Homearama tickets have been donated to military personnel at WrightPatterson Air Force Base by Fifth Third Bank, 84 Lumber, Union Savings Bank, Dayton Realtors and Great Clips, as a thank-you to those who serve and defend our nation.

Homearama tickets are available for purchase for $12 at local Kroger stores, online at DaytonHomearama.com or by downloading the free Dayton Homearama mobile app. The Dayton Homearama app is available through the iTunes App Store or Google Play.

Walk-ups without tickets will be charged $15 at the doors of Homearama houses; all guests over the age of five years must have a ticket to enter.

The popular Homearama guidebook will be provided to each guest at the first home visited.

The guidebook is a great resource to not only see the details of the homes and learn about the builders, but it can help guests gather ideas for their future building, remodeling or design projects and find a business or person to help with their next home endeavor.

Homearama tickets are good for the duration of the show, July 26 through Aug. 11, meaning you don’t have to visit all of the homes on the same day.

The houses will be available to tour Monday through Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from noon to 8 p.m.; and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. Guests are encouraged to visit each Homearama house once, then can choose a maximum of two homes to repeat a visit.

Driving directions, a Homearama house locator map and up-to-date information on the homes, builders, seminars and more can be found on the DaytonHomearama.com website or the free Dayton Homearama mobile app.
