Marxent — a creator of virtualand augmented reality marketing and business tools — is adding 30 jobs to its Austin Landing location.

Marxent announced lastweek it is securing financing with JobsOhio, the state’s private development corporation, to support the growth.

Details on the financing weren’t immediately available.

“The JobsOhio team is unparalleled,” Rick Hanley, Marxent’s chief financial officer, said in a release on the company’s web site. “They are doing right both by the people of Ohio and by companies that want to contribute to job growth in the state. Not only were they great to work with but the resources and support that they have been able to provide Marxent solidified our commitment to continuing to grow the company in Ohio.”

“Marxent is a catalyst in the ongoing growth of augmented reality and virtual reality spaces, and that provides exciting career opportunities that keep the best and brightest talent in Ohio,” J.P. Nauseef, JobsOhio president and chief investment officer, said in the company’s statement. “Ohio is a great place to live and work — Marxent knows that, and we are pleased to support its continued innovation and expansion.”

“Between team, talent, the cost of living, the great schools here and the support of JobsOhio, we can’t think of a better place to be a start-up,” said Beck Besecker, CEO and co-founder of Marxent.

Marxent, founded in 2011, also has offices in Tampa, Fla. and Detroit. Once based in Kettering’s Miami Valley Research Park, Marxent announced a move to Austin Landing last summer that was completed by November.

The company creates content management software and platforms in the $100 billion virtual reality and augmented reality markets, adapting those technologies for the homes and home furnishings markets.
