— The University DAYTON of Dayton Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will hold a talent show today to raise money for The Dayton Foundation.

The event takes place at 7 p.m. at the Art Street Amphitheater, which is on the 300 block of Kiefaber Street in the South Student Neighborhood. The talent show is open to the public. Tickets cost $3.

“It’s just a great way to bring all the athletes together,” said Kaci Bornhorst, a cross-country runner from Minster who organized the event, “and have fun and see what everyone is capable of.”

This is the second year the SAAC has held the talent show. The women’s basketball team stole the show last season with a singing act. Here’s what the student-athletes have planned this year:

Basketball recruiting: Keon Ambrose, a four-star recruit in the class of 2020, put the Dayton Flyers in his final five on Saturday along with Arkansas, Alabama, Southern California and North Carolina State. Ambrose took an official visit to the UD earlier this month.

According to PhenomHoopReport, Ambrose plans to visit the other four schools he’s still considering before making a final decision in November. Of Dayton, he said, “Dayton has been recruiting me since Day 1! I love my conversations with head coach Anthony Grant and his vision for me with the Flyers. I enjoyed my official visit and was embraced by the whole community.”

Koby Brea, a 6-5 shooting guard, took an official visit to Dayton last weekend, according to his high school coach, Marcus Matthews. Brea is a senior at Monsignor Scanlan High School in Bronx, N.Y. He is in the 2020 recruiting class but has an option to move to the 2021 class.

Brea played for the Dominican Republic U-17 national team in the summer. Massachusetts and Manhattan are among the other schools recruiting him.
