The Masked Singer, 8 PM on Ch. 19 and Ch. 45:

The clues are tougher in Season 2 of this breakout game show, but math prodigies may find it helpful to know that, collectively, this season’s undercover celebrities have racked up 69 Emmy nominations, 42 Grammy Award nods, credits in 22 Broadway shows, three books on the New York Times best-seller list, plus two mentions on Time magazine’s list of most influential people. In tonight’s two-hour premiere, the first eight incognito stars perform for panelists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke. Nick Cannon hosts.

Chicago Fire, 9 PM on Ch. 2 and Ch. 5:

Fans of this ensemble drama may want to brace themselves for the Season 8 premiere, which showrunner Derek Haas cautions is “as brutal as we’ve done” and is only a prologue to some lingering fallout. Back together, Stella and Severide (Miranda Mayo, Taylor Kinney) offer strong support to each other during this trying period, and Casey (Jesse Spencer) is too distracted to obsess over Brett’s (Kara Killmer) unexpected engagement to Chaplain Kyle Sheffield (Teddy Sears).

Stumptown, 10 PM on Ch. 22 and Ch. 9:

Actress Cobie Smulders gets to show surprising new range in this new series adaptation of graphic novels by Greg Rucka, which revolves around Dex Parios (Smulders), a sharp-witted former Marine now making ends meet as a private eye in Portland, Ore. It’s gritty work, but Dex doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty as she takes care of a younger brother (Cole Sibus), struggles to pay off a gambling debt and juggles a love life that’s ... complicated. Jake Johnson, Tantoo Cardinal and Camryn Manheim co-star.
