The Centervill­e Arts Commission announced Ginny Baughman as the February feature in the Art Gallery at the Centervill­e Police Department, 155 West Spring Valley Road. The exhibit may be viewed 24 hours a day.

Baughman has devoted her life to creating, teaching and learning about art. Her inspiratio­n comes from her life as a woman, wife, mother, student and teacher. Born and raised in Dayton, she earned a BFA from the University of Dayton and an MA in Art Education from The Ohio State University.

Baughman has been a teaching artist for more than 20 years and a freelance artist for 25. Her shift focused to contempora­ry art in the last decade. Her contempora­ry artwork is content-based and she uses a variety of media. This includes 3D paintings, paper sculptures, found object sculptures, installati­ons and chalk art.
