Gem and Mineral Society

The Dayton Gem and Mineral Society (DGMS) will host its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m., at the Dayton Diabetes Office, 2555 South Dixie Dr.

The program for this meeting will be a presentation by Gary Getz on Ohio Geology, fossils and fossil locations. Members are reminded to renew their DGMS membership if they have not done so already. New members and guests interested in learning more about the DGMS and its activities are always welcome. The birthstone for February is amethyst, so all are encouraged to bring in specimens they would like to show and tell.
