City receives certificate
The City of Springboro received a Certificate of Achievement of Excellence in Financial Reporting by Government Finance Officers of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its 2018 comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR). The city recently received notification of the award.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reports and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment for a government and its management.
This is the 30th year the City of Springboro has achieved the financial reporting award.

According to a statement from GFOA, the Springboro CAFR was judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate it financial story.
“We are pleased to continually be recognized for our complete and accurate financial reporting,” said Chris Pozzuto, Springboro city manager. “Congratulations to our Finance staff for providing a comprehensive review of the City’s financial reports.”
