Food for students

Students who are on free/ Reduced Lunch or the “Boro Backpack Program” with Springboro Schools will still be able to receive food while the district is closed.

The Springboro Community Assistance Center (SCAC). Springboro Schools has been in contact directly with families, regarding details on food pickup and distributi­on.

On Monday, March 16, the SCAC began distributi­ng meals, boxed food, perishable and nonperisha­ble items, for students and their families on Free/Reduced Lunch with Springboro Schools to help aid during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Below are the locations and times for food pickup, which are currently scheduled now through April 3, while supplies last. Due to supply, families are only permitted to pick up meals one day per week. Each boxed meal is intended to last about one week.

■ Mondays, 3 to 5 p.m. — SCAC, 1629 S. Main St. – Perishable & Boxed Food Only

■ Wednesdays, 5 to 6 p.m. — Springboro First United Methodist Church, 60 E. North St. – Nonperisha­ble Food Only

■ Fridays, 6 to 7 p.m. – Springboro Eagles 125 E. Central Ave. – Nonperisha­ble Food Only
