A new episode called “The Nazis’ Supernatur­al Weapons” takes host Don Wildman to Poland and Germany, where he is given access to a mysterious Nazi diary. The book contains ominous clues that eventually lead Wildman to a cave that was used to hide treasures, as well as a crypt where Nazis once held occult rituals. As part of his investigat­ion, Wildman takes part in a witches’ ritual to see how Adolf Hitler attempted to use black magic to conquer the world.

Lost on Everest

Mark Synnott and Renan Ozturk embark on a challengin­g quest to answer a puzzling mystery in exploratio­n: What happened to the celebrated explorers Andrew “Sandy” Irvine and George Leigh Mallory, who disappeare­d during a 1924 attempt on the first summit of Mount Everest? Mallory’s body was found in 1999, but Irvine’s remains have not been recovered. The production team faces major hazards of their own during this mission.

In the Season 1 finale, “The Hot Case,” a St. George, Utah, detective invites investigat­ive genetic genealogis­t CeCe Moore to help investigat­e her first case involving a crime that happened just three weeks ago: the rape of a 79-year-old woman. Moore doesn’t waste any time getting started, since she knows the assailant could strike again at any moment. While working this case, she also has the satisfacti­on of seeing a conviction in a murder case she handled in the season finale.

The Dream of America” merges contempora­ry classical music — performed by Pacific Symphony — with dramatic readings recalling the experience­s of specific newcomers to the United States. Among those delivering those words: Tony Award winner Barry Bostwick (who also has done this piece on other occasions), Emmy honoree Camryn Manheim (“The Practice”) and Michael Nouri (“Flashdance”). This production was staged at the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa, Calif.

In a new episode, Clayton Phipps and his team get ready to flip a 10-ton carnivore fossil out of the ground and onto a flatbed vehicle to transport it to the lab for further analysis. Elsewhere, Mike Harris hunts for the skull of a duckbill, and Jared Hudson uncovers the remains of an ancient reptile.

This 2019 combat epic about the Battle of Midway, a turning point in the Pacific Theater of World War II, was a pet project of director Roland Emmerich, who struggled at first to find financing for a drama that called for flashy special effects and a large internatio­nal ensemble cast. With a production budget of $100 million, it’s one of the most expensive independen­t films of all time. Patrick Wilson, Luke Evans, Aaron Eckhart, Nick Jonas, Mandy Moore, Dennis Quaid and Woody Harrelson are featured.

This new docuseries revolves around the controvers­ial conviction of Texas high school football star Greg Kelley on sexual assault charges. Going into his senior year in his hometown of Leander, Kelley seemed headed for great things, until he was arrested and subsequent­ly convicted of the “super aggravated sexual assault” of a four-year-old boy. Sentenced to 25 years in prison without the possibilit­y of parole, Kelley eventually found a groundswel­l of support in his polarized community.
