Warren SPRINGBORO Boardtomee­t Testing available

The Springboro Board of Education is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Superinten­dent Larry Hook is scheduled to make a presentati­on on a new format for the 2021-2022 school calendar.

Also, the board is scheduled to hear a presentati­on and consider a policy change for Clearcreek Elementary to be designated a military-friendly school, as defined by the Ohio Department of Education’s Purple Star Designatio­n.

In addition, the board is expected to approve purchase of 40 smart board systems for $113,360 and $60,638 in glycol for freeze protection.

The five-year financial forecast and personnel changes are to be approved.

The meeting is to be held in the library of the junior high school, 1605 S. Main St.

PremierHea­lth and CompuNet Clinical Laboratori­es are now offering testing to all patients with a physician’s order at 11 locations throughout the region.

Appointmen­ts are required at all locations except for the site at 1229 S. Main St. in Dayton. Testing is available for individual­s who have symptoms of either COVID-19 or the flu, or who are preparing for a surgery or procedure and need a COVID-19 test prior to the procedure. (In such cases, screenings should take place three to four days prior to the surgery or procedure.)
