Schools get $100K

-

The Clearcreek Township Board of Trustees granted the Springboro school district $100,000 in CARES Act funds.

The district plans to use the money to upgrade technology needs in the district and facilitate remote learning, along with additional facility and technological improvements to comply with the continued expense of COVID-19 precautions.

Trustees presented a check to district officials at the Monday, Nov. 9 trustee meeting.

The money is to pay for Chromebooks, cases and internet hotspots to students for virtual learning, as well as cleaning and facility improvements.

In October, the trustees granted $200,000 in CARES Act funds to area schools, food pantries and assistance centers to help recover from and prepare for the pandemic.
