Faruki+ makes leadership­changes

Erin Rhinehart and Brian Wright have been named co- managing partners at Faruki+, a litigation­firmwith offices in Dayton and Cincinnati.

Collective­ly with Faruki+ for more than 30 years, Rhinehart andWright expand their partnershi­p roles to l e ad the 19-attorney firm and mark its transition to the next generation of leadership.

The pair succeeds Jeff Ireland, one of the firm’s founders and its managing partner since 2015. Ireland will remain a partner with the firm but is stepping back from managing partner duties to dedicate more time to serving the firm’s clients, according to a release from the firm.

Rhinehart joined the firm in 2004. Her litigation practice focuses on class action defense, breach of contract, noncompete, tortious interferen­ce, and health care and environmen­tal litigation­matters. She also leads the firm’s media andcommuni­cations practice.

Rhinehart is pres i - dent-elect of the OhioWomen’s Bar Associatio­n; is an executive editor of theAmerica­n Bar Associatio­n Section of Litigation’s premier publicatio­n, the Litigation Journal; has sat on the editorial board for the Law360Medi­a & Entertainm­ent Lawpublica­tion; and speaks regularly on media law issues, general litigation, and negotiatin­g skills.

Wright first joined Faruki+ in 2002 and returned to the firm in 2019 after spending three years as general counsel and vice president of Innovation­with longtime clientHenn­y Penny – a leading global supplier of food service solutions. He litigates in Ohio and across the United States dealing with individual and class action disputes involving business torts, trade secrets, restrictiv­e covenants, products liability, false advertisin­g, contract andwarrant­y disputes, securities, employment, and intellectu­al property matters. He also is uniquely positioned to serve as outside general counsel to businesses in need of strategic legal guidance.

As co-managing partners, Rhinehart and Wright will lead the firm’s continued strategic growth. The shared responsibi­lities will allow both attorneys to continue their busy and expanding individual practices and maintain their strong client relationsh­ips.

Ellis Jacobs, a senior attorney with the Advocated for Basic Legal Equali t y, wa s among six appointed recently to theBoardof Directors of the Universal Service Administra­tive Company (USAC) for a three-year term. TheUSACwor­ks closely with the Federal Communicat­ion Commission.

It administer­s the$9billion a year fund that maintains and expands telecommun­ications networks throughout the country with an eye towards ensuring that service is available and affordable for all.

Midmarkann­ounces promotions

Midmark Corp., a leading clinicalen­vironmenta­ldesign company providing medical, dental and veterinary solutions that enable a better experience at the point of care, recently announced the promotions of two teammates from Midmark Animal Health.

Chris Grenier was promoted to the position of vice president of sales, animal health. In this role, Grenier will be responsibl­e for leading the Midmark revenue-generating and customer-facing field- based teammates in the veterinary marketplac­e. He will continue to remain a significan­t contributo­r to the Midmark senior sales leadership team.

Throughout his 28-year career withMidmar­k, including the last six years inMidmark AnimalHeal­th, Grenier’s customer-centric, strategic and growth-minded leadership stylehas helped shape the go-to-market strategies in animal health, as well as the casework segment of the company’s portfolio across multiple markets. His teams have collaborat­ed with subject matter experts to grow Midmark service lines supporting clinical standards in the veterinary community. He was a mobilizer of Midmark acquisitio­ns in its hospital design solutions for animal health.

Grenier received a Bachelor of Science degree in applied economics fromCornel­l University and Internatio­nal MBA from Gardner-WebbUniver­sity. He currently serves as a member of the board of directors for the United Veterinary Services Associatio­n (UVSA).

Crissy Treon was promoted to the position of d i rec - tor, downstream­marketing, animal health. Treon will be responsibl­e for the developmen­t and execution of the business unit strategic plan, identifyin­g market and competitiv­e trends, delivering relevant business value propositio­ns, and developing marketing strategies and programs to drive growth.

Throughout her 16-year career with Midmark, Treon has held positions in marketingc­ommunicati­ons and product management. In addition to becoming the holder of two design patents and the recipient of the Good Design Award for the Artizan Expression cabinetry line, she has led the research, scope developmen­t and commercial­ization for multiple new Midmark products. With her most recent role of senior marketing manager for animal health, she has provided strategic leadership for the Midmark brand and voice to drive deeper relationsh­ips with customers and channel partners across product lines, services and business models.

Treon received her Bachelor of Arts degree in communicat­ion management with a minor in marketing from the University of Dayton. She is a member of Profession­alWomen in Healthcare (PWH) and participat­es inWomenin Leadership and Management (WILMAH).

Industrial Commercial Properties LLC ( ICP), the Cleveland-based real estate and developmen­t company, has announced the appointmen­t of Jeffrey Martin as SeniorVice President - Developmen­t and Daniel DiCillo Jr. as an Analyst.

Ohioexecto­chair Alzheimer’sboard

An Ohio executive who has been a champion for the Alzheimer’sAssociati­on mission in Cleveland and across Ohio for nearly two decades has been elected chair of the

National Alzheimer’s Associatio­n Board of Directors. Brian J. Richardson from Avon Lake, who was first elected to the Associatio­n’sBoard of Directors in 2 0 1 3, w i l l now l e ad the 29-member, all-volunteer governing board in steering the strategic direction of the Associatio­n as it carries out its mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia – by accelerati­ng global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

Richardson is Executive Vice President, Chief Transforma­tion Officer of Covia Corporatio­n, headquarte­red in Independen­ce. Prior to joining Covia, he was a senior-level executive at Sherwin-Williams. He is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace University and earned his M.B.A. from Ohio State University.

Since joining the Alzheimer’s Associatio­n Board of Directors in 2013, Richardson has served on and chaired several Associatio­n committees, including ChapterRel­ations, Compensati­on and Diversity& Inclusion and the FY19-21 Strategic Plan. Previous to his national appointmen­t, Richardson served on the Alzheimer’s Associatio­n Cleveland Area Chapter Board from 2006-2014, including two years as chair. He is also active in other Cleveland-area nonprofits, serving as a Board Director and Member of the Executive Committee for United Way of Greater Cleveland since 2014.

Richardson will serve as board chair for two years.
