Spintech announces new division StretchLab opens in Centerville

-

Dayton-based Spintech Holdings, Inc. announces the opening of a new com- posites manufacturing busi- ness division named Hawthorn Composites. This new division extends Spintech Holdings’ composite capabilities beyond the existing Smart Tooling division that provides formable & reus- able composite tooling solu- tions for complex geometry composites.

Hawthorn Composites specializes in manufactur- ing complex geometry composite parts using novel dry fiber preforming and resin infusion techniques. When appropriate, additional value can be realized through the use of Smart Tooling solu- tions. This combination of technologies significantly lowers labor and material costs, while maintaining structural integrity and usually weight neutrality when compared to conventional pre-preg and autoclave cured components.

“A key to success for Hawthorn is the current shift in the Aerospace & Defense composite’s market. Para- phrasing what Jeff Sloan said in a CompositesWorld editorial, the past decade was the decade of innovation in com- posites industry and the next decade will be focused on achieving higher efficiency and lower cost by changing how composite parts are made. Hawthorn Composites is positioned to be a composite parts market leader for the next decade.” - Craig Jennings, CEO of Spin- tech Holdings, Inc.

Leveraging partnerships with Cincinnati-based A&P Technology for their optimized carbon fiber braided solutions including preforms, fabrics and sleevings; and the University of Dayton Research Institute’s (UDRI) experience in creating carbon fiber preforms using technical embroidery and tailored fiber placement, extends Hawthorn Compos- ites abilities to engineer and deliver complex geometry composite solutions.

StretchLab, the premier assisted stretching franchise, opened its first Centerville studio on Jan. 16. Located at 999 South Main Street in Centerville, the studio will introduce people of all ages and fitness levels to the various health and wellness benefits of work- ing with highly trained Flexologists™ in an open, modern, fun and approachable environment.

StretchLab Centerville is owned and operated by Janna Proctor and her husband Chea. A native Ohioan from Monroe, Janna attended University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s degree in ele- mentary and special educa- tion, along with a Master’s degree in educational lead- ership from Eastern Kentucky. An experienced fitness franchisee, her introduction to boutique fitness studio ownership came, as most do, as a member. Janna was very interested in assisted stretching, so she tried a few sessions when she heard about StretchLab. After see- ing the effect it had on her muscles and joints, she knew this would be a wonderful concept to bring back to the south Dayton community.

StretchLab offers a variety of one-on-one personalized stretching services, including a 25-minute stretch that concentrates on the client’s current stretching needs, as well as a 50-minute head-totoe comprehensive stretch that addresses all major muscle groups. Monthly member- ships are available for four or eight visits per month, as well as drop-in stretches.

StretchLab Centerville is all about providing a safe environment where Flexolo- gists™ can provide an effective assisted stretch to members. To do this during the pandemic, the location is implementing all guidelines and safety protocols outlined by the Ohio Department of Health. Additionally, the location has installed a continuous air filtration system.

StretchLab Centerville is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., as well as Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The studio can be reached online at www.StretchLab. com, by email at centerville@ stretchlab.com or by phone at 937-221-9609.
