Currently starring in the Disney Plus streaming series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” Marvel superstar Anthony Mackie experiences real-life adventure as host Bear Grylls takes the actor to the highest peaks of the Italian Dolomite mountain range in the Season 6 premiere “Anthony Mackie in the Italian Dolomites.” The pair travel in the footsteps of World War I soldiers as they brave freezing conditions while trying to scale sheer cliffs and hunt snow rats.
9PMon (TNT) Snowpiercer
Two back-to-back episodes wrap up Season 2, starting with “The Show Must Go On,” which sees Wilford (Sean Bean) pressing forward on his endgame. Then, as the train approaches Melanie’s (Jennifer Connelly) retrieval point, Layton (Daveed Diggs) is determined to lead an attempt to rescue her in the finale, “Into the White.”
TUESDAY Rebel Wilson Pooch Perfect 8PMon (6) (9) (22) Pooch Perfect
Rebel Wilson hosts this new reality competition series in which 10 of the best dog groomers in the country (and their assistants) compete in themed challenges. First up, the Immunity Puppertunity challenge gives a team the chance to win immunity from elimination. Then, in the Ultimutt Challenge, the team tackles an epic grooming transformation, with the final results shown off on the “dogwalk.” Lisa Vanderpump, dog stylist Jorge Bendersky and veterinarian Dr. Callie Harris are the celebrity judges.
9PMon (26) Supergirl
While breakout freshman hit “Superman & Lois” takes a brief hiatus, this veteran superhero series launches its abbreviated sixth and final season with “Rebirth,” which opens with Brainiac (Jesse Rath) lying near death after his attempt to stop Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer). Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and her team swoop in to save him, though, igniting an epic battle with Gamenmae (guest star Cara Buono).
WEDNESDAY Alan Tudyk Resident Alien 8PMon (16) (34) (48) Extinction: The Facts
Owing largely to the devastating global effects of climate change on natural habitats, scientists, ecologists and conservationists have made the dire prediction that as many as one million species face the imminent threat of becoming extinct. That’s bad news not just for these myriad creatures, but also the countless other animals whose lives are affected by the presence of these endangered species.
Sir David Attenborough explores the topic of extinction and how this crisis has consequences for us all.
10 PM on (SYFY) Resident Alien
Harry Vanderspeigle (Alan Tudyk) — or, more accurately, the genocidal extraterrestrial who murdered Harry and assumed his identity — finally stands at the brink of carrying out his mission to wipe out the entire human race as this TV adaptation of a darkly funny comic wraps up Season 1 in a finale called “Heroes of Patience.” Fortunately, however, Harry is wrestling once again with those pesky human “feelings” that have been confounding him.

This eerie thriller returns for Season 3, which reportedly will answer the central question of “Manifest”: What happened to the passengers of Flight 828? As the action resumes, it’s been more than a year since their miraculous homecoming, and while the Stone family continues trying to protect their friends and outwit their enemies, new challenges will test how much they trust the callings, as well as one another. Melissa Roxburgh and Josh Dallas star.

As Season 2 opens tonight with two back-to-back episodes, Moody patriarch Sean Sr. (Denis Leary) is contemplating retirement. He wants to turn his heating and air business over to his hapless older son, Sean Jr. (Jay Baruchel), then cross America in an RV with wife Ann (Elizabeth Perkins). Meanwhile, daughter Bridget (Chelsea Frei), newly divorced, has moved home while her townhouse is being renovated.

Meanwhile, after a disgruntled customer sues TC (Stephen Hill), he recruits Rick and
Jim (Zachary Knighton, guest star Bobby Lee) to help prove the lawsuit is a scam.

The new episode “Never Too Late: The Doc Severinsen Story” profiles the iconic trumpeter and bandleader who maintains a rigorous schedule of touring, performing and teaching well into his 90s. Probably best known for his 30-year-plus gig as bandleader on “The Tonight Show With Johnny Carson,” Severinsen fell in love with the trumpet during his childhood as the son of an Oregon dentist and won the Music Educator’s National Contest at the age of 12.

The first project produced under a partnership between Robin Roberts and Lifetime, this new biopic chronicles the life and career of one of America’s greatest Black gospel singers. Even during a strife-torn period in U.S. history riddled by racial segregation, Jackson enjoyed incredible success in her music career. She also devoted time to political activism, however, and was a personal friend of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his family. Danielle Brooks takes the title role.

Cara and Ben (Taylor Cole, Jack Turner) decide they’ve let professional distractions postpone their wedding too many times. She’s leaving on an international book tour in just two weeks and he’s up to his neck in a major business expansion, but they go ahead and book the chalet where they fell in love, throwing together plans for an intimate ceremony with their loved ones in just 10 days.

In the opener, Bonham Carter reveals how her grandparents — two in France, two in England — saved countless lives despite not being conventional war heroes.
