School open houses
Each of Centerville’s schools have announced their plans for back-to-school open houses for the upcoming school year.
All open houses (except the School of Possibilities) will be meet and greet events, so families can stop by at any time during the school’s open hours.
The following are pre-K-1 open houses:
■ Centerville Preschool: Preschool teachers will contact parents/guardians to set up small group meet-and-greet activities prior to the start of preschool.
■ Primary Village North: The Raspberry Neighborhood, plus Mrs. Ashworth’s first grade class, will hold their open house on Monday, Aug. 9. AM kindergartners and first graders with last names A-L should visit between 6-6:45 p.m. PM kindergartners and first graders with last names M-Z should visit between 7:15-8 p.m.
The Green Neighborhood will hold their open house on Aug. 11. AM kindergartners and first graders with last names A-L should visit between 6-6:45 p.m. PM kindergartners and first graders with last names M-Z should visit between 7:15-8 p.m.
The Purple Neighborhood (except Mrs. Ashworth’s class) will hold their open house on Aug. 12. AM kindergartners and first graders with last names A-L should visit between 6-6:45 p.m. PM kindergartners and first graders with last names M-Z should visit between 7:15-8 p.m.
The neighborhood and teacher assignments will be mailed to kindergarten and first grade students’ homes the first week of August.
Primary Village South: Open houses for kindergarten and young fives students will be Aug. 12. AM students should visit PVS between 5-5:45 p.m., and PM students should visit between 6-6:45 p.m. The school nurse will be available in the clinic from 5-6:30 p.m.
Families of first graders at PVS can attend an open house Aug. 16. First grade students with last names A-M should visit PVS between 5-5:45 p.m., and first grade students with last names N-Z should visit between 6-6:45 p.m. The school nurse will be available in the clinic from 5-6:30 p.m.
The neighborhood and teacher assignments will be mailed to kindergarten and first grade students’ homes the first week of August.
