After a close brush with death in the form of a car accident of suspicious origin, a young woman somewhat predictably falls for the handsome and gallant firefighter who puts himself in peril to pull her from the wreckage. What at first seems like selfless concern for her welfare soon takes on a darker tone, however, when this dashing first responder’s overprotective behavior turns into a suffocating attempt to control her life.
