Movie: Those Who Wish Me Dead, 8 PM on HBO:

Taylor Sheridan (“Yellowstone”) directed and co-wrote this 2021 adaptation of a novel by Michael Koryta, a satisfyingly old-fashioned neo-Western thriller starring Angelina Jolie as a Montana smokejumper who helps a young boy (Finn Little) flee for his life after witnessing his mother’s murder. They’re hotly pursued by the killers (Nicholas Hoult, Aidan Gillen), who are determined to leave no witnesses alive. Jon Bernthal and Jake Weber also star.

The Dead Files, 10 PM on TRAV; 2 AM on TRAV:

This eerie series closes out its 13th season with a finale called “Abducted,” which sees medium Amy Allan and former homicide detective Steve DiSchiavi traveling to Coolidge, Ariz. They’re making the trek in response to a plea from a distressed mother, who reports that she and her daughters are under nearly constant uncanny attacks from an interdimensional being. They can’t afford to move to another home, so this beleaguered family needs answers before someone is seriously hurt.
