Riverside City Council names new City Manager

Riverside City Council named re s ident Joshua Rauch as the new city manager at the October 7th city council meeting. Council vote was unanimous for the appointmen­t. Rauch was sworn in at the October council meeting.

Rauch, a seven-year resident of Riverside, is a Dayton-area native. He attended Carroll High School and the University of Dayton before earning a Masters’ Degree in Public Administra­tion from

University of Kansas. He has seven years of direct community and economic developmen­t experience working for cities in Kansas

Ohio. Over the last seven years, Rauch has served as a local government consultant, conducting more than 90 assessment­s in communitie­s across 23 states.

Rauch states that as a resident he is familiar with the opportunit­ies and challenges the City has faced in recent years along with some new developmen­ts that fortify the City’s economic and cultural climate. He looks forward to deepening relationsh­ips with citizens and institutio­ns that shape the community and collaborat­e to strengthen the City as an attractive and inviting place both now and in the future.

Rauch is an active member of Internatio­nal City/ Council Management Associatio­n, the Ohio City/County Management Associatio­n, and the American Public Works Associatio­n.
