New spot features eclectic drinks

-

Get ready for a new spot in town with eclectic drinks and creative fare! The Bar & Bistro opened on Monday at 32 Webster Street in downtown Dayton in the Top of the Market space. Their hours are 4 to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday for dinner with bar service until 10 p.m. Happy hour is from 4 to 7 p.m.

Daytonian Family, the Mendelsons, wanted to move forward with renovation plans for the conception of The Bar & Bistro that Sandy Mendelson (who passed away suddenly in July) had been discussing with New York City transplant John Capobianco. With a degree in Hospitality and decades of experience in hotels and restaurants, Capobianco had been hired as a Consultant by Sandy to breathe new life into Top of the Market after selling Mendelson’s Liquidation. Capobianco, Director at Top of the Market Catering & Events, The Bar & Bistro, and the new Gourmet Deli stated: “The Mendelson family decided to honor Sandy by moving forward with his dream of revitalizing Top of the Market into a Webster Station destination location.”

The Bar & Bistro will be offering concoctions from new Executive Chef, Will Campollo. Pulling from colorful flavors from all around the world, the menu features entrees such as Hawaiian Ahi Poke Bowl, Chinese Bao Buns, and Korean Style Chicken Wings along with traditional favorites like filet mignon and crab cakes. A full bar with beer, wine, shots, and custom cocktails provides plenty of drink options.

Reservations are suggested by calling The Bar & Bistro at 937-224-3663.
