Andrew Ogletree, a 2016 Northridge High School graduate, was drafted in the sixth round by the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday.

Ogletree, a 6 -f o ot-5, 261-pound tight end from Youngstown State, was the 192nd player selected in the 2022 NFL Draft. He started his career as a wide receiver at Division II University of Findlay but converted to tight end at Youngstown State and led the team with 28 catches for 282 yards last season.

“They can mold me into whatever they want, because I’ve only played tight end for one year, and I have a receiver background, and I think I put some pretty good stuff up on film of me playing tight end,” Ogle- tree told reporters. “So I feel like I’m a ball of clay; they can mold me however they want, however they see fit.” At Findlay from 2016-19, Ogletree caught 54 passes for 785 yards and 10 touchdowns.

At Northridge, Ogletree was a first-team All-Ohio selection in football and basketball as a senior.

Springfield grad signed by Packers: Springfield High School graduate and former Wisconsin Badgers wide receiver Danny Davis III signed as an undrafted free agent with the Green Bay Packers on Saturday.

Davis shared a photo of himself wearing a Packers hat on Twitter on Sunday.

In five seasons at Wisconsin, Davis caught 131 passes for 1,642 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also ran the ball 14 times for 245 yards and scored two touchdowns.

Davis graduated from Springfield in 2017. After injuries limited him to three catches in two games in the 2020 season, he announced in February 2021 he would return for a fifth season at Wisconsin. He caught 32 passes for 478 yards last season and scored two touch- downs.

Davis participated in Wisconsin’s Pro Day in March and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds.

Dayton safety earns Giants rookie minicamp invite: Fairborn High School graduate and former Dayton Flyers safety Brandon Easterling received an invitation to the New York Giants rookie minicamp, according to a report on Instagram by agent Malki Kawa, of First Round Management.

Easterling was a co-captain last season as a fifthyear senior at Dayton. He led the team with 93 tackles. As a junior in 2019, he led FCS football in solo tackles (7.5 per game) and ranked second in total tackles (12.7) and first with nine turnovers acquired (six interceptions and three fumbles).

Dayton has one former player in the NFL right now: tight end Adam Trautman, who has caught 42 passes in two seasons with the New Orleans Saints. Trautman was a third-round pick in 2020.
