Xenia High School contest winners head to New York
This month, three Xenia High School Seniors are heading to the bright lights of Broadway in New York City to see Hamilton, thanks to their winning submission last year to the Gilder Lehrman Institute’s Hamilton Education Program. For the contest, Brylee Dixon, Kelsey Kellner, and TreyShawn Hoskins created a performance piece about the Olive Branch Petition, entitled “Last Call for Peace.” The students’ project was selected as one of only five national Outstanding Performance Winner projects, which earned them the opportunity to travel to New York to participate in a workshop, view the Institute’s collection of primary
source documents, meet the cast, and see a matinee performance of Hamilton.
