Safety Town for kindergarteners

The Miami County Sheriff’s Office Safety Town is a program for incoming kindergarteners in the Bethel, Bradford, Miami East, Milton Union and Newton schools. The program is run by the sheriff ’s office school resource officers with assistance from other law enforcement, EMS and fire departments.

Topics will include seatbelts, car seats, school bus safety, stranger danger, gun safety, crossing the street, traffic lights and others. Each day will include a special speaker. Participants will receive a bicycle helmet, T-shirt, gun lock and safety handouts.
