Aquatic Center

- NANCY BOWMAN, CONTRIBUTING WRITER

Tipp City Council voted Monday to approve changes in fees and hours for the upcoming season at the Tippecanoe Family Aquatic Center.

City administrators proposed changes after pool operator SwimSafe asked for more money to help cover the increased pay needed to attract lifeguards and a price increase for chemicals.

The daily fee for adults will go from $7 to $8; youth (3-17) $6 to $7; senior, $5 to $6; and children two and under remaining free. Punch cards good for 10 visits will increase $10.

The center will close one hour early daily — at 7 p.m. — to help cut costs.
