Names released of 4 killed in crash; one teen survived
The four people killed Sunday night when a car crashed into a pole in Dayton ranged in age from 16 to 34.
They were identified by Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger as two Dayton men: Justin Elliot, 34, and Jamaine Smith, 24; and a woman and girl from Chicago: Sakinah Hassan, 20, and Dashanae Victoria Sims, 16.
A 15-year-old was the only survivor, Dayton police Lt. Col. Eric Henderson said Monday.
The crash was reported around 9:15 p.m. at North Gettysburg and St. James avenues after a 911 caller reported a car crashed into the pole and was flipped on its top with a pole down.
