Woman with gunshot wound dies at hospital

A woman found inside a car Thursday morning with an apparent gunshot wound in Harrison Twp. was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies were called around 2:30 a.m. to a report of an unresponsive person in the 4400 block of Saylor Street.

The shooting happened an hour after deputies were called to a stabbing nearby. However, the sheriff ’s office said there is no indication the two incidents are connected.

Deputies responded around 1:35 a.m. to the 4100 block of Meadowdale Drive, where they found a man with a stab wound to his back. He was listed in stable condition.

Both incidents remain under investigation.
