Engagement platform
The Miami County commissioners Thursday received a preview of a citizens engagement platform being developed for the county by a Virginia-based company.
ZenCity Technologies was hired earlier this year for to provide services including monitoring social media for public thoughts and allow county residents to engage remotely with the county, if desired. The contract called for the county to pay $36,000 for one year.
The organization draws from existing information on the web to monitor conversations in the community and provide “a broad view of your residents,” said Traci Levin of ZenCity. In addition, the platform can also be used to solicit feedback from the community.
