Road constructi­on work started

The Greene County Engineer’s Office announces that AllTech Pro Services will be performing upgrades on the cell tower on Dayton Yellow Springs Road between Trebein Road and Ohio 235, starting today and lasting two days, weather and equipment permitting.

Dayton Yellow Springs Road will remain open eastbound between Trebein Road and Ohio 235.

Dayton Yellow Springs Road will be closed westbound between Ohio 235 and Trebein Road and will be detoured using the following detour: Ohio 235, to I-675 to Trebein Road. This closure is scheduled to begin around 9 a.m. today and will be an overnight closure.

The Greene County Engineer’s Office also announced that John R. Jurgensen Co. will begin milling Jasper Road between the Xenia Corporatio­n Limit and Ohio 72 starting today and lasting one week, weather and equipment permitting.

Jasper Road will be under constructi­on between the hours of 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday thru Saturday. Traffic will be maintained using flaggers. Travelers can expect delays and we encourage you to use alternativ­e routes.

When traveling thru these areas, drivers are asked to slow down and use caution as there are unmarked no passing zones.

Jasper Road was originally scheduled for paving in 2021, but was reschedule­d due to trucking and temperatur­es last fall.
