Food donations

Postal carriers this week will pick up donated food from households placing items in their mailbox.

This food collection is event runs through Saturday. People also are invited to bring food to the local post office, where bins will be in the lobby for drop off donations. All food donated will go to food banks in the community.

Examples of acceptable donations are oatmeal, peanut butter, canned goods and tuna. NANCY BOWMAN,
