Youth fishing derby

The annual youth fishing derby is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon June 18 at Delco Park.

The free event for those ages 5 to 16 is supported by the Dor Wood Optimist Club and the Kettering Police Department.

Participants can bring their own bait and tackle or use what is provided. Trophies will be awarded, and lunch will be provided for participants and their parents.

Registration is at 9 a.m. and the derby begins at 10 a.m. at the park. 1700 Delco Park Drive.
