The American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) recognizes Ronald Suprenant, MD, MBA with the Distinguished Fellowship of Addiction Medicine Designation (DFASAM).
ASAM and the Board of Directors honor select elite professionals as “Distinguished Fellows” for their outstanding and long sustained demonstration of top-ranking competence in the field of addiction medicine, exceptional professionalism, consummate integrity, demonstrated service, significant contribution, and noted leadership.
Dr. Suprenant is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine. He is a Clinical Associate Professor at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. He is an active advocate through the Ohio Society of Addiction Medicine and through ASAM for patients with substance use disorders and the professionals who care for them. He has taught a variety of courses for ASAM and teaches interested groups as needed. He has practiced in both outpatient and residential addiction treatment programs. He currently maintains a private Addiction Medicine practice with offices in Miami Township and Blue Ash, Ohio.
Authorized members may employ the DFASAM designation after their names as a mark of distinction and to provide a description of their unique position. The designation represents “Distinguished Fellow, American Society of Addiction Medicine.” All DFASAM recipients must be an ASAM member in good standing.
