Street resurfacing, curb replacement program
Beavercreek residents will see road crews working to repair or replace deteriorated curbs and streets throughout the city as part of the city’s annual Street Resurfacing and Curb Replacement Program.
As part of the program, the city allocates $2.3 million every year to repave and repair streets and curbs. This year, the city received a contract bid 25% higher compared to 2021. City records show the price for its resurfacing program has increased 188% since 2000.
As a result, the city is planning to resurface approximately 5.67 centerline miles of streets in 2022. This number is lower compared to previous years, which ranged from 8.5 to 15.32 centerline miles of road.
A list of streets and curbs that will be repaired or replaced in 2022 can be found on the city’s website, www.beavercreekohio. gov/engineering. For questions, contact the city’s engineering division by calling 937-427-5513 or emailing publicworks@beavercreekohio.gov.
