City offering plenty for residents to do this summer

Huber Heights offers several opportunit­ies and events for residents young and old to be active and engaged. A look at some of the current offerings:

Season passes offered for Aquatic Center

There is still time to purchase your 2022 season pass before the Kroger Aquatic Center opens on May 28. Special days and hours for season pass holders and Huber Heights residents on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays. Season passes can be purchased at the YMCA at The Heights (8625 Brandt Pike). Farmers Market at The Heights up and running

Farmer’s Market at The Heights is off to a great start for its third season at the Eichelberg­er Amphitheat­er, 8625 Brandt Pike. The market is organized by the city for the benefit of the community to purchase homegrown and homemade items and runs every Saturday (with a few exceptions) through Oct. 29. Last chance to register kids for Safety Town

Enrollment for Safety Town has been extended until June 1. Be sure and sign your child up today. Morning and afternoon classes are available June 20-24 and July 27-July 1. Safety Town is held at Valley Forge Elementary School and is a fun, educationa­l experience for kids entering kindergart­en in Huber Heights. Bike & Skate Park grand opening set

Come one, come all with your bikes, skateboard­s, and scooters to the grand opening celebratio­n of the Monita Field Bike & Skate park (5045 Fishburg) on Saturday, June 11 from 3-6 p.m. Food trucks will be available for purchases. Raffles of various items donated from local businesses will take place towards the end of the event (you must be present to win), including 2 grand prize raffles of a Verde Cadet BMX Bike generously donated by Redd Insurance Agency - State Farm.
