ENGLEWOOD ( July 25) — Police were called around 9:30 a.m. on a report of a man collapsed in the grass along South Main Street. They found a man with slurred speech and barely able to stand. The man possessed multiple containers of alcohol, including one half-empty bottle of vodka. The man was taken to the hospital and issued a summons to court for disorderly conduct by voluntaril­y intoxicati­on.

ENGLEWOOD ( July 24) — The driver of a vehicle, without any registrati­on displayed led police on a brief pursuit that ended when the vehicle slowed at an intersecti­on but ran a stop sign and hit a vehicle in the intersecti­on. The impact forced the one vehicle into a third vehicle that was waiting at the intersecti­on. The driver of the vehicle that originally failed to stop was taken to the hospital for a medical check along with two people from other vehicles. A passenger in the vehicle that originally fled police also was jailed on an outstandin­g warrant, police said.

ENGLEWOOD ( July 19) — A man was charged with theft after police said he was seen stealing Pokémon trading cards from Meijer. Security workers reported the man was seen concealing individual packages of his cards before going into the restroom and opening the packages to remove cards. Before leaving the store, the man purchased a candy bar but didn’t pay for the cards, which police said were valued at $110.

PLEASANT HILL ( July 30) — Miami County Sheriff ’s deputies were called to the village on a complaint of criminal damaging. A man reported that an unidentifi­ed person threw a milkshake on his vehicle. The man wanted documentat­ion of the incident.

BRADFORD ( July 31) — A sheriff’s deputy on patrol reported he saw the driver of a vehicle stopped at a Piqua intersecti­on spin the rear tires for about 10 seconds. During a traffic stop, the driver was found to have a suspended license. He was cited and called for an alternativ­e ride home.
