The new Kettering Health Springfiel­d practice welcomes two physicians who specialize in family medicine.

Rukan Ahmed, DO,

earned his Doctor of Osteopathi­c Medicine from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathi­c Medicine. In addition to primary care, he provides patient-centered care using clinical experience in internal medicine and osteopathi­c manipulati­ve treatment.

Theresa Sheridan, DO,

is an experience­d physician specializi­ng in family medicine with a focus on holistic health. She has a background in functional medicine and the benefits of a plant-based diet.

Before becoming a doctor, she served patients as a registered nurse and then a family nurse practition­er. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New York State University, and her Master of Science in Nursing from East Tennessee State University. Sheridan then went on to complete her Doctor of Osteopathi­c Medicine at Touro University Nevada in Henderson, Nevada.
