HUMANE SOCIETY PET OF THE WEEK

-

Name: Angel

Age: 20 years and 3 months

Breed: American paint horse

Color: Brown and white Gender: Female

Why she is special: Angel, a horse, came to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton through a cruelty and neglect case because her owner was no longer able to properly care for her. When our shelter saved her, she was suffering from some lack of nerve function to her lower left lip, causing it to droop. While she has been in a foster home, we have provided her with some acupuncture and lots of love, and this nerve damage seems to have gone away now. Plus, with the proper care and nutrition we have provided, she has filled out and now has a beautiful, full coat. Angel is pasture sound and would be a great companion horse. She is current on her vaccinations and is coggins tested negative. If you think Angel is the perfect fit for your farm, then go online to www.hsdayton.org/adopt and fill out an application online.

Where to adopt: Currently, Angel is in a foster home. If you are interested in adopting her, then contact the Humane Society of Greater Dayton at 937-2687387 and we can set up a time for you to meet her in person.

How to help: Want to support animals, but aren’t able to adopt at this time? Consider volunteering or fostering at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton. You can also support animals’ care by participating in events such as our annual Car RUFFle. Purchase tickets at www.CarRUFFle.com, and you could win a 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport courtesy of Jeff Schmitt Auto Group. With each ticket you buy, you are directly supporting the animals at our shelter.

Notice: Due to newspaper deadlines, the animal featured in the Humane Society Pet of the Week segment may have been adopted by the time of publication. If this animal is unavailable, then the Humane Society of Greater Dayton has many other amazing animals still looking for forever homes.
