Springboro focusing on core services in the new year
As we welcome 2023, I am excited and encouraged by the many exciting projects happening in our city. Our focus this year is on providing outstanding core services.
We’ll do this by investing in North Park improvements, including new playground equipment, pickleball courts and landscaping.
As part of our efforts to attract new private investment in fiber high speed internet, we’re well on our way to having every home and business connected to a fiber network, giving residents and businesses options for hi-speed internet and connectivity.
We’ll welcome several new businesses and business expansions, expand road improvement projects and update the park space at Wright Station.
We’ll host a variety of activities at Wright Station and North Park, including our popular concert series. Our commitment to our Bicycle Friendly Community status includes opening new bike paths and our first pump track at Community Park.
A quick snapshot of our 2023 budget shows expenses projected to be $62.5 million for capital and operations with stable year-end projections in total fund balances. We plan to expand our Capital Improvement Program and eliminate some outstanding debt. Look for specific financial and budget details in our Annual Report, mailed to every home in March and available at that time on our website.
I am grateful for the opportunity to serve you, our residents. Your support of our businesses, schools, non-profit organizations and city services are what makes Springboro the community we all love! It is indeed a great place to: Live. Work. Play. Learn and Grow.
Please accept my best wishes for your health, safety and happiness in this new year.
