Michael Dunn, Thomas Graham Jr., Ben Stille re-sign with Cleveland

- Chris Easterling

The day the Browns opened their voluntary offseason program also saw them re-sign one of their own free agents.

Reserve offensive lineman Michael Dunn re-signed with the Browns, the team officially announced Monday. It was one of three moves they announced, the others being that cornerback Thomas Graham Jr. and defensive tackle Ben Stille signed their exclusive rights tenders.

Dunn’s agent, David Canter, first announced his client’s deal earlier Monday. The Browns had announced last month that they had tendered Graham and Stille.

The 6-foot-5, 315-pound Dunn’s season a year ago was cut short due to a back injury prior to the Week 10 game at Miami. He was inactive for that game, and then placed on the injured reserve list following that.

Prior to the injury, Dunn had carved out a key role on the Browns’ offense as an extra blocking tight end. He played 82 offensive snaps over the first eight games and was on pace to surpass his career-high 128 offensive snaps from the 2021 season.

The former University of Maryland product was originally signed by the Browns in August, 2020, after having spent time either in training camp or on the practice squads of the Los Angeles Rams, Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins. He appeared in six regular-season games for the Browns that season, then started the wildcard

win at Pittsburgh before going on injured reserve prior to the divisional-round loss at Kansas City.

Dunn played in 14 games for the Browns in 2012, primarily on special teams. He started December games against the Las Vegas Raiders and Green Bay Packers, two of his four career regular-season starts in the NFL.

Graham played seven game for the Browns last season after being signed off the Chicago Bears’ practice squad on Sept. 13. He had six tackles, including five solo stops, when he played 37 defensive snaps in a Week 12 overtime win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Stille was signed off the Miami Dolphins’ practice squad last Nov. 15, just days after the Browns lost to the Dolphins. He appeared in six games for the Browns, recording three assisted tackles and one quarterback hit.
