WARREN COUNTY HEALTH INSPECTIONS
The following are summaries of the state of Ohio standard inspection reports on file from the Warren County Combined Health District, from the weeks of Jan. 15 to Jan. 26. District information is available online at www.wcchd. com.
Roma’s Pizza and Pasta
282 W. Central Ave., Springboro Date of inspection: Jan. Violations: Corrected during inspection. Found a container without a handle being used as a scoop stored in pasta sauce. The PIC immediately removed container and will re-educate his employees to only use scoops with handles or measuring cups with handles for dispensing food. Furthermore, the PIC will make certain the utensil is cleaned at required frequency.
Correct By: 18-Jan-2024. No sanitizer test kit available. The PIC had the wrong test strips available (Chlorine instead of Quat) for use during inspection. The PIC had sani tabs. The PIC will order the correct strips immediately. Gave operator some quat strips to assist with correction. Correct By: 25-Jan-2024. Comments: The food and equipment temperatures checked were within required parameters and the facility is exceptionally clean. Good job!
This Guy’s Coffee
284 W. Central Ave., Springboro Date of inspection: Jan. 19 Violations: Equipment components are not intact, tight or properly adjusted. Observed torn seal gasket on reach in milk cooler (near froth machine). The PIC will submit a work order for repair or replacement. Correct By: 29-Feb2024. The ceiling was not smooth and easily cleanable in the new bakery area in rear area of kitchen. Observed acoustic ceiling tiles. Corrective Action: The PIC made note and this will be discussed in detail with owner regarding correction. Correct By: 29-Feb-2024. Comments: Ensure the noted findings are corrected before next routine inspection. Otherwise, the food and equipment temperatures checked were within required parameters. Good job!
Coffee Caravan
440 Watkins Glen Drive, Franklin Date of inspection: Jan. 18 Violations: Facility does not have an employee with manager certification in food protection. The PIC has taken all the quizzes; she is scheduled soon to take the exam with a proctor. Correct By: 29-Feb-2024. No test strips were available for use during inspection. The PIC ordered new strips immediately. Gave operator a few strips to assist with correction. Correct By: 29-Feb-2024. The cove base was missing behind the ice machine in new kitchen. Corrective Action: The PIC will submit a work order for replacement. Correct By: 29-Feb-2024. Comments: Ensure the noted findings are corrected before next routine inspection. Otherwise, the food and equipment temperatures checked were within required parameters. Good job!
