GREENE COUNTY HEALTH INSPECTION­S

The following are summaries of the state of Ohio standard inspection reports on file from the Greene County Combined Health District, from the week Jan. 8 to Jan. 12. District informatio­n is available online at https://www.yourfoodsa­fety.com/greene/.

Milano’s Atlantic City Subs

2660A N. Fairfield Road, Beavercree­k Date of inspection: Jan. 11 Violations: Observed the handsink near the 3 compartmen­t sink only reaching 65 degrees F at time of inspection. Please increase hot water to reach a minimum of 100 degrees F. Observed no handwash signage at multiple handsinks in the kitchen. Gave signs to PIC so that signage can be posted at all handsinks for employees. Observed eating utensils in a holder being stored the wrong way with the food contact surfaces unprotecte­d during storage. Please store all utensils with the food contact side protected at all times. PIC corrected. Observed paper bags full of bread sitting directly on floor of kitchen. Please store all food a minimum of 6 inches off floor to prevent possible contaminat­ion. PIC corrected. Observed uncovered containers of food being stored inside the reach in coolers in kitchen. PIC corrected. Observed uncovered food in containers in the walk in cooler. PIC corrected. Observed multiple cutting boards with stains, chips and large pieces removed from cutting surfaces. Please ensure these cutting boards are free of stains and have not been damaged that could create a potential hazard to food. PIC corrected. Observed the fryer cabinets below the fryers to be dirty with grease buildup. Please clean. Repairing. 1. Observed multiple cracked and missing floor and wall tiles by the entrances of the walk in coolers. Please repair missing floor and wall tiles. 2. Observed damaged FRP walls above the beer cooler. Please repair and seal any gaps. 3. Observed a hole in wall under 3 comp sink were a repair is being done. Please seal up hole in wall once repairs are completed. All surfaces must be sealed, smooth and easily cleanable. Cleaning - frequency and restrictio­ns. 1. Observed the wall behind and around the dish machine to be dirty. Please clean. 2. Observed the floor drains under the dish machine area to be dirty. Please clean. Observed a cracked light shield cover in the walk in cooler. Please replace cracked light shield cover. Comments: Please have all violations corrected prior to next standard inspection. PIC was verbally informed of all violations noted during inspection. All signatures and initials on the inspection report have been digitally signed and agreed upon by both the PIC and the inspector. Inspection report will be emailed to PIC.

Dollar General

1920 Bellbrook Ave., Xenia Date of inspection: Jan. 9 Violations: The body fluid cleanup “kit” is insufficie­nt to allow for the proper clean up of a body fluid incident. Must provide all of the required personal protective equipment (e.g. — eye protection, mask, gloves, shoe covers, etc.), supplies to clean up the fluids, disposal bag, etc. Must also have written instructio­ns. A handout was provided during the inspection. Provide a proper body fluid clean-up “kit” by your next standard inspection. The toilet in the employees restroom is not functionin­g properly — tank cover is removed to permit flushing of the toilet.

Repair so this toilet functions properly. The dumpster enclosure and external surroundin­g area has trash/debris scattered all about. Clean up the internal/external areas around the dumpster area to prevent creating a public health nuisance and attracting rodents. Found a wet mop stored in the mop sink. All wet mops must be hung to air dry to prevent creating an insect harborage/ breeding area. Comments: PIC was verbally informed of all violations noted during inspection. All signatures and initials on the inspection report have been digitally signed and agreed upon by both the PIC and the inspector. Inspection report will be emailed to PIC.
