Dayton Mall is getting several new tenants after recently welcoming two new kiosks.

Nearly 10,000 square feet at Dayton Mall will soon be occupied by Kids Empire, “one of the fast- est-growing indoor play- ground entertainment brands,” according to the mall’s owner, Spinoso Real Estate Group.

“Kids Empire offers giant playground areas that include floor-to-ceil- ing climbing walls, play structures, drop-in ball pits and more,” Spinoso said.

The space is located on the upper level of the mall near JC Penney in a space formerly used for storage, a Dayton Mall spokeswoman told this news outlet.

“We are excited for the new addition to the Day- ton Mall community,” the spokeswoman said.

The new Miami Twp. location should be open by the end of the year, accord- ing to Shelby Pedroza, vice president of E&R Property Group, who is head of real estate for Kids Empire.

The Dayton Mall location is one of four Kids Empire locations planned for Ohio, Pedroza said Wednesday.

Kids Empire has 70 locations across 17 states, including Arizona, Califor- nia, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kan- sas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Jer- sey, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah and Virginia.

Other new features

Also coming to Dayton Mall is 3D Art, which will offer holographic prints and “unique lights that go with any aesthetic,” the spokeswoman said. It’s projected to open April 1 next to American Eagle, she said.

Next up will be Claw Crazy Arcade, a family-friendly arcade with locations in Edinburg, Fort Wayne, Greenwood and Columbus, Indiana.

Patrons can try their hand at several skill-based games to win tickets in addition to playing video racing and shooting games such as Global NASCAR VR Racing or Halo: Fireteam Raven.

All points and tickets are stored on a game card and can then be redeemed for prizes at the prize hub. Claw Crazy Arcade is projected to open May 1 next to Dayton Children’s Flight Zone.

It also has refreshed and reopened the Flight Zone, a soft, indoor play area that is accessible by all.

“Dayton Children’s Hospital is the sponsor for the play area,” the mall spokeswoman said. “They have been the sponsor for years. The elements have all been resurfaced and new seating and carpet were installed.”

Dayton Mall, which features more than 90 tenants, recently welcomed two new kiosks. SD Beauty Care features skincare products and is located near Buckle. Cellaxs Phone Repair, which said it is “the place for all your cell phone repair and accessories needs,” is located between FYE and American Eagle.
