Hall of Honor inductions set

The Fairborn City School District annual Hall of Honor induction will be at 7 p.m. April 26 in the Fairborn High School auditorium.

The following are set to be inducted:

■ Catherine Frank (deceased), teacher and gifted supervisor, founder of the district’s gifted program. The program serves hundreds of students a year.

■ Marge Gehring (deceased), teacher and special education supervisor with 30 years of district service. Gehring was the first supervisor in the district to serve special education programs.

■ Barry Gluck, Fairborn High School class of 1969, vice president for Divisional Merchandis­e Management at Macy’s Department Store, Atlanta, Ga.; Executive Vice-President Ross Stores, Merchandis­ing, Marketing, Store Planning and Allocation­s; Founder of Gluck Consulting, LLC.

■ Jason Lyons, FHS class of 1994, police officer, served in the U.S. Army; highly decorated for life-saving efforts, and heroic and meritoriou­s accomplish­ments; college professor.

■ Craig Moore, FHS class of 1968, 32 years of service to Fairborn schools, taught history, and coached wrestling and football; partner in assisting with $3.5 million donation to buy land for the new high school.

■ Arundhati Venkayya, FHS class of 1991, vice president for public affairs and media relations, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus; former deputy director and chief communicat­ions officer, Ohio Department of Health.

Michael Yeary, FHS class of 1969, leader in community youth sports programs; inducted into the Fairborn Athletic Hall of Fame; retired after 30-year career at Flowserve.
