Catholic Schools Week Service Project

-

Recently, the St. Joseph School participated in the Catholic Schools Week Service Project. St. Joseph Catholic School and Girl Scout (GS) Troop 00415 partnered to provide special treats for Adams County active-duty military personnel and military veterans (color guard), American Legion, Post #43.

Part of this GS Cookie Sale Share Program included the sale of St. Joe charcuterie cutting boards; in which the proceeds were added to existing Troop 00415 GS cookie sales to share with military personnel. They partnered with the ACCF military gallery to make sure the word is shared about this exciting ‘troops for the troops’ programs. The ACCF contacted families listed in the ACCF military gallery to pick up cookies for their loved ones.

Limited supply: Once the cookies are gone, this program opportunity will expire.

The ACCF contacted families with active-duty personnel. Many boxes have already been picked up and are going to our service men and women. If you have not gotten the boxes for your active duty- family member, please call the foundation today to reserve your package of four boxes (260.724-3939). Also recognized with this special Girl Scout program will be our American Legion, Post #43 Color Guard. These men often do four funerals in a week. They travel to surrounding counties to perform the ‘final-salute’ services during the funeral services for military veterans. The ACCF and Girl Scouts recognize these veterans and appreciate their service.

If you are or know of an Adams County resident who is currently serving in active duty and would like to be included in the Adams County Community Foundation Military Gallery, please contact the ACCF at (260)7243939 or email: accf@ AdamsCountyFoundation. org.
